Tokyo...the return

It's been such a long time! Hello again.

At the last post I was stuck in a twisty house in Sheffield, being treated like a nusiance
and caring about a man I couldn't seem to reach. 50+ hour weeks in the A&E department for
barely above minimum wage and drowning a little more each day.

Christmas 2010 and my friend Lucy and her husband Tatsuya came to Donny. They had a Christmas party and Lucy threw me a lifeline.

I applied and didn't make it, but it gave me hope I wasn't as useless as being threatened each week at work and screamed at in the houseshare had caused me to believe.

Time passed; apparently I was 'pathetic' for complaining when my dinner was mysteriously thrown in the bin.

Jo and Imran at work kept me sane and kept reminding me I was a decent person in a sh*tty situation.

Barry took me to the pub to watch football after the screaming incident. Another lifeline.

And one day the offer appeared.

It seemed too good to be true, and now I'm here, parts of it were, but it's given me a chance to pay off the horrific debts, spend time with friends I care about and get teaching experience.

Barry was moving in with Kirsty, the rent was going up and it wouldn't be healthly to live at HH with no R. Why be reminded of the past everyday?

So in August, off I flew.
